Ventura Counseling Center, an outreach ministry of Ventura Missionary Church, has been serving the community for over 30 years. We provide clinical Christian counseling in the areas of: Individual and Family Counseling, Children, Teens, Marital and Premarital. We are committed to serving individuals and families of various backgrounds, as well as those with or without religious affiliation.

Our Staff
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and supervised MFT interns. Our therapists hold Master's or Doctorate degrees in the counseling fields from accredited schools. To find out more about our staff, click on the VCC Staff resources at left.

We offer daytime or evening appointments, Monday through Friday.

Premarital Counseling
Prepare for Marriage, Not Just Your Wedding!

Most premarital couples spend a great deal of time, energy and money on a wedding ceremony that lasts a few hours. They often spend little time however, acquiring relationship skills needed to build a marriage that could last for 50 or more years.

Our premarital counseling program includes six weeks of sessions with a MFT covering important issues such as:

• Personality Issues
• Communication
• Conflict Resolution
• Financial Management
• Leisure Activities
• Sexual Expectations
• Children and Parenting
• Family and Friends
• Role Relationship
• Spiritual Beliefs

 

Counseling is available for couples preparing for marriage for the first time, couples with children and couples over 50 years old.

Fee is offered on our sliding scale, plus a $35.00 assessment fee. Full fee is due at first session.
